Rikku sighed quietly, flopping back on her bed in the cabin of the Celsius. It was nice to finally have some privacy; everyone had been haranguing her nonstop since she'd insisted they head to Bikanel to drop Gippal off. She pursed her lips, brows knitting together as she thought of what a jerk Gippal had been today when she talked to him online, and how insensitive he could be.

It was high time she ended it, anyway. At least her dad would be happy. That made one person . . .

She rolled over, shifting awkwardly as she felt something under her hip. She reached down and found a sphere. "When did . . . " She stopped, clicking the button to play it.

Rikku recognized that awkward laugh a mile away. And, as she listened to him continue to explain his feelings on what had happened, she realized how blown out of proportion the whole thing was.

I'll miss you. She sighed, looking down at her feet and resting her head on her knees. She missed him too. But, she'd been so mean . . . was it too late to tell him so?

I'm so excited! Lulu's finally here, now, too! Now we just need to kick Paine's lame butt into gear because no one cares about Brother, he's a jerk.

Well . . . almost everyone. Tidus is still gone, I don't know how we can find him! Hmm . . .

You know, I wonder. Hey, you guys? You know how a while back there were a lot of people here who were dead and stuff? But, still posting?

Do you think that's possible for people who've passed onto the Farplane, too? I mean, mom and Auron and . . . what if Tidus is there, too?

Rikku was sighing and wiping oil off her forehead. She was wearing her usual thief costume, but had cast aside her scarf and had oil stains all over her bandanna and skirt. There was a wrench in her hand and she had pulled herself up into the hull of the airship. There were a few loud clanks of metal and some quiet curses in Al Bhed as she worked, she'd lean out every so often to switch tools with Shinra, but overall repairs weren't going as well as she'd hoped. Brother had done quite a number on the ship.

Rikku didn't doubt that she was contributing to the already loud cries that were resounding through the streets of Luca. However, she also didn't care, seeing as she was a bit more preoccupied with Brother's excuse of a landing job. He attributed to the malfunction, but she knew he was just making excuses.

She ran off the airship as soon as it had stopped shaking from the landing, looking out as she saw the haywire machina rampaging. They'd come down from the highroad, the guards and the hovers. She cringed and looked away. They needed to find Yuna and fast, even she wouldn't be able to handle that kind of uprising on her own.

"Yunie!" She called, glad at least that she wouldn't be cutting out and difficult to understand, anymore.

I miss Tidus.

I could really use a best friend right now.

I can't find Gippal anywhere. He said he was in the Den of Woe, but when Brother landed in Mushroom Rock, Lucil said that no one had come through. I even went to check anyway, but he's not there.

Gippal. Gippal, where are you? I'm scared.

Alright, well, I had to beat Brother's head in but . . . it looks like he's going to let you come with us on the Celsius, Gippal!

Which reminds me . . . !!! Yunie!! I talked to him about that girl who was staying at Djose and it's totally okay, y'know? So, you don't have to worry or anything! He booted her out, and he's even gonna come with us to find Tidus!

Rikku would be lying if she said she wasn't fidgety and perhaps the slightest bit nervous about how the rest of the night would fall into place. The planning was mediocre, but wasn't it always between the two of them? But, in all reality, that wasn't so bad for two adrenaline junkies with some time to kill. They'd find something more exciting if they knew there was no agenda.

And it was thoughts like these that kept her from tearing out her hair while she waited outside the temple for Gippal to meet her.

Rikku had to admit, as much as she hated being there for extended periods of time, there was nothing like coming back to Djose after a long break. All of the people, the activity, the crowding made her feel more at home. It was almost like Home had been, in fact. She stopped just past the shop and stared up at the tower, taking a deep breath.

Best enjoy it now, she told herself, you'll hate the stuffiness in a day or two. With that, she swung her arms back and forth, finally propping them behind her head with a soft grin, heading into the temple through the great stone doors. Experience told her it couldn't be too impossibly hard to find Gippal, he was usually the loudest one there.

Hey, Gippal? You know how the Celsius has a lift engine? Yeah, we've been trying to use those same mechanics on this underwater airship and it's just... not working.

Turns out it's got a lift fan instead, and Nhadala says I need to come get a propshaft from you that we can try.

I told her you only have a halfshaft, but she's making me come anyway.

Well, this is just... disasterrific.

I finally got away from those monster-people who were chasing me, they're like zombies or something, anyway, so I hid in this mall, y'know? And... everyone's being mean!

I tried to be nice to someone and it blew up in my face, already! What a meanie, seriously.

Oh well... I guess we'll see how this goes. I hope those scary things don't figure out how to pull the doors open.
